This was a topical issue. Many areas of Spain had banned bull fighting, something I agree with, so what better way to replace it than with penguin fighting?

When I first moved to Manchester we went to a ‘fun fair’ and it rained the whole time, and it creaked and groaned, and we were left feeling that it certainly wasn’t fun, and the day had been unfair. That, of course, inspired this.
This was a fun and challenging one to draw.
Just imagine, had I posted the original run of Lost Tribe of Pen G’Uin according to plan number 52 would have been the first year finished. However, as per normal, I failed to meet my own schedule on occasion. It is apposite that number 52 was an apology cartoon for missing schedules, oops!
