Yeah, this one was a wee bit silly.
All together now, “it’s a long way to…”
This was a topical issue. Many areas of Spain had banned bull fighting, something I agree with, so what better way to replace it than with penguin fighting?
When I first moved to Manchester we went to a ‘fun fair’ and it rained the whole time, and it creaked and groaned, and we were left feeling that it certainly wasn’t fun, and the day had been unfair. That, of course, inspired this.
This was a fun and challenging one to draw.
Just imagine, had I posted the original run of Lost Tribe of Pen G’Uin according to plan number 52 would have been the first year finished. However, as per normal, I failed to meet my own schedule on occasion. It is apposite that number 52 was an apology cartoon for missing schedules, oops!
Yeah, yeah, I know, I know. I’ve not been keeping up with this. Sorry about that. Anyhoo, here’s number 51 in my re-posting of The Lost Tribe of Penn G’uin.
So, I was very pleased when I got Lost Tribe of Pen G’Uin to a half century of comics. Looking back I’m not sure why I chose this idea to celebrate with though. I like the added 50 to the image though.
Goodness me a love a good pun. And a silly looking cartoon. Good thing I can create both.
The major footballing event mentioned in Monday’s Lost Tribe of Pen G’Uin was the World Cup in South Africa.
One of the rare occasions where I took my own photo especially for the idea. This cartoon was based on the OTT support the England Football team gets in any tournament. Now I am a huge sports fan and it irritates me when everyone and their penguin seems to claim to be the best supporter …
Another super surreal idea for the Lost Tribe of Pen G’Uin this week. Decided to reuse the White House photo from before.
