As you may well have spotted, I am a great fan of print, prints and printing.  I believe that it is vital to keep a working relationship between digital and traditional media (something I may have mentioned before), leading to my latest battle cry: Look Fantastic! Traditionally & Digitally.

I have also been impressed by the passion and ideas of a group called People of Print and their publication Print Isn’t Dead.  The latest issue, Element 003, was launched last night and arrived in the post this morning.  What is extra special about this issue is that readers could send in text to be turned in to a unique cover for just their issue of the publication, not available to anyone else.  Needless to say I leapt at the idea and submitted my battle cry!

The magazine looks fantastic and the whole package is something a little bit special…

A few years ago Wallpaper Magazine offered a similar experiment in unique covers.  Unlike the option to send in your own content on Print Isn’t Dead, Wallpaper had a series of elements online which you could arange and customise to make a unique, one off cover.  I now have one of each.

I was also lucky enough to get my order in in time to also have a limited edition print.

All in all, a great package!
