Taste-y Design

Pete's Favourites, Taste

As a big fan of graphic design and branding I am always on the look out for something to catch my eye and stand out above the rest.  Doesn’t matter where I find this, but if I can I take a quick pic and share it with you here on Graphical Content.

While recently in an artisan food/local village store in Cranwell, Lincolnshire I found this range of herbs, spices and sauces with some excellent branding.  A nice logo design, which catches the eye.  A lovely colour palette which works well on the shelf.  Beautifully designed packaging.  The design work here brings some of the exotic nature of the spices and sauces while making them user friendly for the UK market.  There is only just one weakness…

And here we have that weakness in the design work.  These gift boxes look ace, but the windows are too small and badly placed so that potential purchasers cannot see what oil is which.  When the boxes come sealed that is quite an issue.
